Our educare is home-based thereby allowing the child to be in a warm caring environment whilst developing both academically and religiously. The High Scope preschool curriculum is based on the principles of active learning and support of a child’s positive interactions with adults and peers. Longitudinal studies show that High scope curriculum promotes children’s development and provides lasting benefits into adulthood.
Our preschool curriculum is a comprehensive model that addresses all areas of development through eight content areas and 58 key development indicators. The skills and behaviors at each stage of the development that pave the way for school and adult success. Each key indicator is connected to and reinforced by scaffolding strategies to support and gently extend children’s learning.
Operational Days and Time
Half Day 7am – 1:30pm
Full Day 7am – 5:30pm
Mondays to Fridays accept public holidays
As parents, you rely on the Educare staff to care for your children and keep them safe when you are not around. Our center has a structure and regulations in place to ensure that all children enjoy a safe environment when their parents are not around.
Education and Certification: In order to operate a center which is efficient, sustainable and effective in caring for young children, it is essential for the principal and staff to be trained in ECD. Our staff meets the certification requirements and have obtained training through full qualification and through focused skills training programs.
Safety: The primary and legal responsibility of our center is to ensure the safety of the children. We comply to the required regulations and staff have first aid training and our center has an emergency plan in place. In addition our center meets sanitary and fire regulations. We keep records and know each child’s relevant medical history which keeps us prepared to prevent and provide first aid for any resulting health issues. This includes conditions such as asthma or diabetes and allergies to food, medication or bee stings.
Sick children: In most cases, Educare are not legally responsible to accept the care of sick children. However if a child becomes ill at school parents are informed immediately.Abuse:It is the duty of our center to report all suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to law enforcement or child protection services. It is our duty and responsibility to look for signs of emotional or psychological abuse which include speech disorders, eating disorders or ulcers and withdrawing from social interaction.
Education: We provide age appropriate activities. Our activities stimulate early learning with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and lifeskills and contains a range of items including puzzles, balls, bean bags, blocks, laces, beads etc.
Vision: It is our vision to improve the quality of learning and preparation for school at our center, for the benefit of vulnerable children. We do this through empowering our staff with essential education and enterprise skills.
